FOUNDER - THE MINDFULNESS CENTER OF CHESTER
As a psychotherapist, it has always been vital to me to serve people who were seeking a path to living a life of free from the burdens of anxiety, depression, grief, and interpersonal trauma. And that can look quite different from one person to the next. Which is why I approach my work knowing that one size does not fit all. I practice using various forms of therapy, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Solution-focused Therapy
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (including Trauma informed MBSR)
Utilizing a whole-person approach to each individual is vital to what I do. But in my experience working with various populations, I’ve seen that the unrest that starts in the mind as a response to life experiences is often expressed in the body. And psychotherapy alone often isn’t enough to bring a truly integrated healing.
When I discovered yoga, it opened my eyes to the mind-body connection, and I started to see the need for more integrative therapies to complement my professional and personal practice. I’ve since become proficient and certified in Reiki, Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, and offer these as complementary practices alongside psychotherapy.
I am proud to offer an integrated, whole-human service model at The Mindfulness Center of Chester because it is the embodiment of my dream; bringing together the concepts of health, wellness and, community to create a sanctuary where folks can feel at home and find respite. I look forward to providing support and guidance for your personal journey and am deeply grateful for your presence here.
